Our Vineyard

Located in the heart of an UNESCO world heritage’s site, the wine area of Vézelay is recognized since the Gallo-Roman period.

Due to its geographical situation, the Vézelay’s region is exposed to a semi-continental climate. Settled on East/South-East and South/South-West hillsides on heights between 205 and 300 meters, the vine of Vézelay takes advantage of wind effects, natural draining and a quasi-permanent sunshine.

Our ground marked by a staircase of faults drilled by the Cure, aided to a nuanced erosion process at various levels. The basement mainly consists of marls and limestone of the Jurassic (-165 million of years)

"It is from the limestone that roots are drawing fineness and giving the wines the specific mineral marks issued from our authentic geology."

By respecting environmental protection, our wine-growers devote to return to earth all its quality by using methods more respectful of soils and vine’s balances.
